Churro Popcorn Recipe Ingredients – Shopping List
1 bag Kettle popcorn
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
5 tbsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup multi colored M&Ms
1/2 cup chocolate coated sunflower seeds
1 cup of chocolate covered pretzels
1 container of cupcake candy skulls
Churro Popcorn Recipe Instructions
Step 1. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 c powdered sugar, 1/4 c granulated sugar and 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and set aside – this is your Churro Sugar Coating.
Step 2. Cover a large baking pan with parchment paper, pour popcorn onto it and set aside.
Step 3. Melt 1/2 c butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Step 4. Add 2/3 c granulated sugar, 3 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp light corn syrup, and 1/4 c vanilla.
Step 5. Whisk the cinnamon butter mixture until smooth, about 2-4 minutes.
Step 5. Slowly drizzle cinnamon butter mixture coating over popcorn.
Step 6. Using a spatula, toss the popcorn to coat evenly.
Step 7. Sprinkle the popcorn with the churro sugar coating, then toss to coat.
Step 8. Add the M&M’s, chocolate covered sunflower seeds, chocolate covered pretzels and cupcake candy skulls to the popcorn, toss to mix.
